Network Control

Every watt of power we supply is monitored, co-ordinated and controlled from our network control centre. Our network is very reliable, but if there’s a problem, our control centre is alerted and a team of engineers springs into action to get the power back up again.

Supply Restoration

The restoration team travel to the location of the fault and work to restore the power supply. Their job is to get things back up and running for as many customers as possible, in the shortest time possible, all while ensuring the highest levels of safety for everyone involved.

Work Planning

We’re constantly inspecting our network to spot any potential problems. Every piece of work we carry out on our network is designed around strict policies and standards. Which means Work Planning is vital to powering the North West in the safest and most efficient way possible.

Maintenance and Construction

The maintenance and construction of the electricity network is all down to our expert engineers, field teams and contractors. This is where a whole range of different skills come together. From overhead line work and underground cabling to substation fitting and excavation. The teams also make permanent repairs once power has been restored after a network fault.
