Here at Electricity North West, we distribute power to customers' homes and businesses on behalf of electricity suppliers. Which means our first job is to make sure it happens as safely and reliably as possible. As one of the region’s major employers, our work can be seen everywhere from Lancashire and Greater Manchester to Cheshire and Cumbria. It’s a huge network spread across all sorts of different terrain distributing energy to all kinds of different customers. From isolated rural farms to bustling city centres, we power life in the North West through 13,000km of overhead lines, 43,000km of underground cables and 38,000 transformers.
