How you’ll develop

Starting off with formal training to enhance your technical skills, our range of placements will then develop your knowledge across the business. You’ll also receive training on safety and the technical side of your role. Not to mention project management, business awareness and personal development. There’ll be plenty of on-the-job experience too. Supervised by qualified Engineers, you’ll get to work on our overhead and underground network at low and high voltages. It’s a wide-ranging experience that covers the design, construction, maintenance and repair of the network at all voltages. What’s more, you’ll have your own mentor to guide you at every stage of your development.

Who we’re looking for

To succeed, you’ll be highly motivated, talented and hard working. You’ll also have, or be expecting to achieve, a BEng or MEng degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering. A real team player, you’ll have strong communication skills too. Along with a good analytical brain, a knowledge of IT and an eye for detail.

Where you’ll be working

Our Engineers work right across the North West region including Workington, Carlisle, Kendal, Preston, Blackburn, Warrington, Greater and Central Manchester. During your time with us, your placements could be in any one of these places. So you’ll need to be flexible enough to work in different locations.
