Applying for our Graduate Engineering Programme
We’re looking for a certain set of skills and behaviours from our graduates. So our selection process is designed to let you show us what you can do. Better still, we’ll keep you updated on the outcome of your application by writing to you at every stage. To progress you’ll need to be successful through each part of our five-step process:
Stage 1 - Application
First, you’ll need to complete our online application form. Our application process for graduates starts in December 2011 and is open until 31 January 2012. We’ll be assessing applications after the closing date and will let you know the outcome by 17 February 2012.
Stage 2 – Practical and Technical Assessment
In this stage we’ll explore your relevant technical knowledge and ask you to complete a number of practical exercises. This will take place at our Training Centre during February 2012. We’ll let you know by email if you’re being asked to attend this assessment. And we’ll advise you of the outcome by 28 February 2012.
If you consider yourself to have a disability that may affect your ability to take the tests, please let us know prior to taking the tests and we can allow for reasonable adjustments to be made.
Stage 3 - Assessment Centre
The final stage of the selection process takes place in our Assessment Centres. This involves a small number of exercises to assess your knowledge and suitability. The assessment will be run over a half day and we’ll let you know in advance which exercises you’ll be involved in. The Assessment Centres will be held during March 2012. We’ll make sure everyone will know the outcome by 16 April 2012.
Stage 4 - Offer
If we make you an offer, we’ll seek references covering the last two years, along with proof that you can work in the UK, proof of your qualifications and medical clearance to show that you're fit for the job.
Stage 5 – Commencement of the Programme
If you’re successful, congratulations! You’ll start your Development Programme in September 2012.
