Graduate FAQs

Still got a question we haven’t covered on our website? Here are the Frequently Asked Questions graduates often ask us.

1. If I haven’t got a 2:1, can I still apply?

We invite applications from graduates regardless of the degree level awarded, so long as your degree is in the correct discipline, for example, Electrical Engineering.

2. Am I too old to apply for the graduate scheme?

We don’t just invite applications from recent graduates. We also welcome applications from graduates with relevant work experience, provided your application meets the minimum criteria.

3. Is there a closing date for applications?

The closing date for submission of applications is 23 November 2011.

4. How long does the engineering graduate programme last?

The training programme lasts 18 months. It involves a mix of formal classroom training and a variety of placements across different areas of the business.

5. What are the general working hours?

Our typical working week spans 37 hours.

6. Who can I contact if I have any additional requirements?

7. If I’m successful, when can I expect to start work?

Our next graduate programme will start at the beginning of September 2012.

8. If I’m successful, will there be events throughout the year before the scheme starts?

If you’re successful in gaining a place on our graduate programme, we’ll be in touch with you from the date we make you an offer through to your start date on the programme. This will include an event prior to taking up your role.
